KNOBWELL offers three main door knob functions to choose from:

[PRIVACY FUNCTION]: Privacy or Bed and Bath Door Knobs are typically used on Bedrooms, Baths, or Office doors where a lock for privacy while occupied is desired, but a keyed lock is not necessary. These knobs have a turn button on the end to activate the lock. On the outside, there is a pin hole for emergency unlocking.

[PASSAGE FUNCTION]: Passage or Hall and Closet Doorknobs are used on doors that do not require a locking mechanism. Halls, closets, pantry, or laundry doors will generally use a passage knobset, as these knobs do not have a locking mechanism.

[ENTRY FUNCTION]: Keyed Entrance Door Knobs are generally used on exterior doors, but sometimes used on interior doors where security is a concern. These knobs have a turn button lock on the inside, similar to a privacy lock, and a keyed cylinder on the outside. If the knob is locked from the inside, a key is required for entrance.

[PASSAGE FUNCTION]: Our Passage Door Knobs are made from Stainless Steel with a Matte Black Finish. They don't have a locking mechanism, but they do feature a reinforced latch to resist impact and slamming. These knobs are great for use in hallways, closet doors, and other passage areas that don't require a locking function.

The installation process is straightforward, as the knobs come with an alignment post that makes them easy to install without any special skills. They fit standard door sizes, with an adjustable latch that accommodates 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60mm-70mm) backsets. The reversible knob can be rotated to work on both right and left-handed doors, with a door thickness range of 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" (35mm-45mm).
